Ali Fazal is known for his versatility, having transitioned from the rugged intensity of characters like Guddu Bhaiya to more sensitive, layered protagonists. Now, he is set to surprise his fans once again. Ali will be seen embracing a lover boy avatar in the much-awaited Lust Stories 3, marking a return to the romantic genre in a modern and emotionally nuanced framework.

Ali was last seen in Metro In Dino, where he played a soft-hearted musician dealing with the complexities of love and vulnerability. Building on this romantic momentum, his role in Lust Stories 3 promises to be a refreshing, intimate and expressive performance. In this upcoming series, he is paired opposite Radhikka Madan. The film is directed by Shakun Batra, a filmmaker known for his deep exploration of human relationships and sensitive approach to storytelling.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the project, Ali shared that the timing was perfect for a role of this nature. He said, “Lust Stories 3 came to me at a time when I was craving something emotionally honest and personal. Shakun has such a rare way of observing human behaviour, he doesn’t direct scenes, he lets them breathe. Working with him was incredibly fulfilling because he pushes you to be truthful rather than dramatic. This story explores love, desire, and vulnerability in a very real way, and I genuinely enjoyed slipping back into a romantic space after a long time.”

For Ali, returning to this space doesn’t mean repeating the past, instead he mentioned how it’s all about playing a modern, realistic version of romance. He mentioned the freedom that comes with playing a character who is emotionally aware and relatable to today’s audience. He concluded saying, “There’s something freeing about playing a lover boy again, but in today’s context, flawed, sensitive, and emotionally aware. I think audiences will see a very different, softer side of me, and that’s what excites me the most about Lust Stories 3.”

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar told Parliament today that India had granted docking permission to an Iranian naval vessel at Kochi port on humanitarian grounds, describing the decision as “the right thing to do”.
