Alia Bhatt is set to take the stage as a presenter at the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) 2026. At this year’s ceremony, Alia will join an illustrious line-up of global talent including Bryan Cranston, Cillian Murphy, Ethan Hawke, Kate Hudson, Sadie Sink, Monica Bellucci, Michael B. Jordan and several other leading names from across the global film industry.

In recent years, Alia has represented India at some of the world’s most influential cultural platforms, including Met Gala and the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. The BAFTA Awards 2026 will bring together an exceptional roster of presenters and nominees from around the world.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt recently offered a glimpse of her current reading list, highlighting the philosophy she follows while raising her daughter, Raha. She posted a picture of the book, The Parent’s Tao Te Ching: Ancient Advice for Modern Parents by William Martin, adding the caption ‘obsessed’. The book is based on guiding parents to build deeper, more meaningful connections with their children. It focuses on thoughtful communication and timeless wisdom, specifically adapted for the challenges of modern parenting.

The title of the book suggests that Alia is leaning toward an approach that mixes ancient advice with a contemporary lifestyle. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot in April 2022 and welcomed Raha the same year in November.

On the film front, the actress is currently gearing up for her upcoming spy thriller titled Alpha. The high-octane action film, which also stars Sharvari and Bobby Deol in key roles, is slated to hit the silver screen this year. She is also set to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles.

Actor Rajpal Yadav stepped out of Tihar Jail on Tuesday evening after the Delhi High Court allowed his temporary release in a cheque bounce case. According to sources, he walked out around 4.50 pm once all the formalities were completed. The relief came after he deposited Rs 1.5 crore with the complainant.

Speaking to reporters outside the jail, Yadav expressed gratitude for the constant support he has received. “In 2027, I will have completed 30 years of working in Bollywood. Everyone has been with me. That is why I could do 200-250 films,” Yadav said. He also assured that he has always followed the High Court’s directions and will continue to remain available whenever required.

“The love and backing of people from across the nation remain with him, and that if there are any allegations, he is ready to respond fully and transparently,” Yadav said. He further added, “If anyone wanted legal details, they could speak to my advocate.”

Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma granted an interim suspension of his six month sentence after noting that Rs 1.5 crore had been deposited to the complainant, M/s Murali Projects Pvt Ltd. The court directed him to surrender his passport and not leave the country without prior permission. He has also been asked to appear, either physically or virtually, on the next hearing scheduled for March 18. The matter will now be taken up again by the court on the next date of hearing.

In a surprising turn of events, Aamir Khan has reportedly stepped in to mediate a high-profile dispute. The ongoing friction between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar’s production house, Excel Entertainment, has been amongst the talks, specifically concerning a reported Rs 40 crore clash after Ranveer’s exit from the highly anticipated Don 3. The situation came to light after several leading producers and studio heads were spotted exiting Aamir Khan’s Mumbai residence. While the gathering which included the likes of Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala, Ektaa Kapoor, Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, and Punit Goenka was initially thought to be for a mega collaboration, reports now suggest a different agenda. According to HT City, Aamir took the initiative to help both parties find common ground. A report by Hindustan Times said, “Aamir is trying to resolve the issues between Ranveer Singh and Excel Entertainment. The two have had some unresolved issues, which have caught the eye. The meetings at his place are for the same.”

The core of the conflict reportedly stems from Ranveer Singh’s exit from Don 3. It is alleged that Ranveer placed a demand for Rs 40 crore from the production company. On the other hand, Excel Entertainment claims to have incurred substantial financial setbacks, including pre-production expenses and scheduling disruptions, which they said were incurred with Ranveer’s prior approval. The gravity of the situation led the matter to be taken to the Producers Guild of India for mediation.

Ranveer Singh, however, has maintained a different stand. Reports say that the actor mentioned he neither accepted an advance nor was provided with a finalized bound script. His concerns reportedly included creative dissatisfaction and issues regarding project management. He also reportedly pointed out that he was not compensated for time lost when other projects were shelved. As this new development comes, the intervention by Aamir Khan is seen as a step toward easing the escalating tensions.
