Mrunal Thakur has completed her portion of the shoot for her upcoming bilingual thriller Dacoit, which stars Adivi Sesh in the lead. The actress recently wrapped an intense and exhilarating sequence during the Hyderabad schedule. To mark the occasion, the team gave her a warm send-off, with Mrunal visibly excited about being part of the project. Interestingly, the actress will also dub for her lines in both Telugu and Hindi, in addition to participating in the film’s promotional activities.
The much-anticipated trailer launch of Vishal Bhardwaj’s O’Romeo in Mumbai was not just about the intense film but was also a celebration of the bonds between the star cast. Avinash Tiwary, who plays an antagonist in the film, took a moment during the event to speak warmly about his co-star Triptii Dimri, marking their third collaboration after the critically acclaimed Laila Majnu and Bulbbul.
Reflecting on their journey together, Avinash highlighted the comfort that comes with working with a familiar face. Speaking about his bond with Triptii, he shared, “I’ve worked with Triptii in Laila Majnu and Bulbbul before this, and coming back together for O’Romeo feels like home. There’s an inherent trust and an unspoken understanding between us as actors. When you’ve shared such intense cinematic journeys together, you don’t need to start from scratch, you just pick up from where you left off.”
Their chemistry, which first captured hearts in the 2018 romance Laila Majnu, has evolved over the years. In O’Romeo, however, the dynamic shifts. While Triptii plays the female lead opposite Shahid Kapoor, Avinash steps into a more menacing territory as the villain. Despite their characters being on opposite sides of the plot this time, Avinash noted that their personal friendship remains unchanged. He added, “It’s wonderful to see how much she has grown and the love she is receiving. For me, she will always be my first co-star and a very dear friend.”
Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, O’Romeo stars Shahid Kapoor as the fierce gangster Haseen Ustara, with Triptii Dimri playing his love interest, Afsha. The ensemble cast also includes Nana Patekar, Farida Jalal, Disha Patani and Vikrant Massey.
As the film gears up for a Valentine’s Week release on February 13, 2026, the reunion of the Laila Majnu duo has added an extra layer of excitement for fans who have followed their career closely.
