Bhumi Pednekar revisits first Filmfare win in a 2016 full of dreams

Bhumi Pednekar joined the viral nostalgia trend as she took a trip down memory lane, sharing a series of throwback pictures from 2016. She joins the 2026 is the new 2016 trend as a year she fondly described as “full of dreams.” The actor offered fans a glimpse into the early milestones of her career, revisiting moments that shaped her journey in Bollywood.
In her Instagram post, Bhumi shared images from her first day on the sets of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, her first professional photoshoot, and her debut magazine cover with Ayushmann Khurrana. She also posted a photo with Akshay Kumar from the film’s announcement. 
Reflecting on the year, Bhumi wrote, “2016 you were full of dreams,” while listing cherished memories. She went on to share a picture with her first Filmfare award, one she won for her debut in Dum Laga Ke Haisha. She also reminisced about her first ramp walk, her growing love for Pilates and fitness, and her first trip to Spain to receive an award. 
On the work front, Bhumi Pednekar is gearing up for the release of her upcoming crime thriller series Daldal, which will premiere worldwide on Prime Video later this month, promising to show the actor in a gritty new avatar.
