US President Donald Trump has announced a 25 per cent tariff on any country trading with Iran, ramping up pressure on the theocratic government in Tehran over its violent crackdown on a wave of protests.

Venezuela’s interim government said Monday it was ready to pursue a “new agenda” with the European Union and Britain following talks with their envoys after Nicolas Maduro was ousted as president.
