Releasing the draft revised list for Uttar Pradesh after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), the Election Commission said 2.89 crore voters have been removed from the electoral rolls in the state, including 46 lakh voters who are dead.

Four people, including three women, were killed and many injured after a pickup van fell off a hilly road in Manipur’s Churachandpur on Tuesday.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police has filed a chargesheet naming 17 individuals in the killing of student leader Sharif Osman Hadi, attributing the murder to “political vengeance.” Hadi, a prominent figure in recent mass protests, was shot in December and died later. The investigation points to the Awami League and its student wing, Chhatra League, as being involved.
