Exclusive: Shah Rukh Khan Asked for Jubin Nautiyalâs Number After Hearing The Bads of Bollywood Song

Composer Shashwat Sachdev is earning wide praise for his work in Aditya Dhar’s film, Dhurandhar. Alongside the Ranveer Singh starrer, he had two more major releases this year, Kesari 2 and Aryan Khan’s The Ba***ds of Bollywood.
With multiple tracks going viral, Sachdev has quickly emerged as one of the most talked-about composers of the year. In an exclusive conversation with Filmfare, he spoke about shaping the sound of Aryan’s debut show and revealed Shah Rukh Khan’s priceless reaction to one of its songs. Several noted singers lent their voices to the tracks of the show. And one of the songs, Ruseya, impressed Aryan’s superstar father SRK so much that he asked for singer Jubin Nautiyal’s number right after listening to it.

Sachdev shared, “I remember when Jubin sang that song, I was looking at him, both of us were looking at each other, and I had tears in my eyes. He kept singing, and we finished the session. Aryan and I sent it to Shah Rukh sir. And then sir called and said, ‘Yeh kitna sundar gaaya hai. Mujhe Jubin ka number bhejo, I want to call him right now.’ And we felt that energy the night before. Before that, it was me singing that melody on a guitar or a piano, and then it became that song. And then you see that on screen, and it seems more cinematic and epic.”
