Amid spiralling violence against minorities in Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, in a Christmas speech, has attacked the Yunus regime and said that the “current ruling group” has seized illegal power and is now subjecting minorities to “unspeakable torture”

Spotlighting the reports of the alleged attack on Christians in the days leading up to Christmas, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor served a warning: “when traditions are attacked, it is all of us”.

The government said the move will allow police personnel to be used more effectively, especially at a time when maintaining public safety.
