Debutant Ahaan Panday shot to fame this year with Mohit Suri’s film, Saiyaara. Along with him, his co-star Aneet Padda also became a household name. During a recent award show, Ahaan spoke about his film and his bond with Aneet and also shared a heartfelt note sent by the actress who couldn’t be present at the event. Along with that, Ahaan also shared an update about his next film.

He confirmed that he is working with filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar, which will go on floors soon. The actor said, “It’s an Ali Abbas Zafar film. I don’t know if I should say too much. All I can say is it will start rolling very soon, in the next couple of months. It’s an action film. It’s being led by three people under the age of 30. It has been something that’s not been done for a very long time. For the rest, the audience will have to wait for it.”

As per reports, Sharvari will star alongside Ahaan in this film, which also stars Bobby Deol. He also spoke about his Saiyaara co-star and said, “I learned so much from Aneet, and I owe a lot to her. My growth on Saiyaara, I owe to Mohit Suri, but also to Aneet Padda. I remember telling her that whatever happens, all that matters is that one person leaves the cinema hall feeling something. That they’re moved. That’s our job as artists.”

Ahaan called Aneet a talented senior and a mammoth of talent. He added, “Aneet is not here with us today. She is getting the same award in the female category, and she actually had something to say. She sent me a note to read.”

Reading Aneet’s note, Ahaan continued, “Good evening everyone. Unfortunately, I couldn’t be here tonight, but fortunately Ahaan lost the bet and he is lending me his voice. I am hoping the sticker is doing enough to convince you that I am somewhere nearby. He did win one bet unfortunately, so you won’t hear his high pitched Aneet voice tonight. He did it alarmingly good. I grew up far away from sets and spotlights, no map for how a life like this is built. Just a feeling that wouldn’t leave me alone that there was something I wanted to say even before I knew how to say it. Cinema gave that feeling a language, love gave it a reason and this year those two met through Mohit Suri’s magic, through Akshay Vidhani taking your chance on a film and on two imperfect, unconventional kids. Through Adi sir’s faith and legacy he continues to built with such integrity and love. To my mom, dad, sister, to my dadi and my home. My dadoo who taught me the language of love, thank you for giving me piece of you. I carry them and return to them when I feel lost. Thank you Nitya Mehra and Karan Kapadia for making space for me and showing me how to take space and thank you babaji for this beautiful mysterious life. Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar has been receiving a lot of love from fans and the industry. Recently, filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga took to social media to praise the Ranveer Singh starrer.
