Delhi was shrouded in an oppressive smog veil this past Sunday, as air quality reached a staggering ‘severe-plus’ for the first time in 2023. The 24-hour AQI clocked in at 461, recording one of the worst Decembers ever documented. High moisture levels, cool temperatures, and stagnant winds conspired to keep pollutants hovering low, dimming the sky.

The airlines said some departures may face minor delays as operations adjust to weather conditions.
