Delhi was shaken on Monday evening after a car suddenly exploded near Gate 1 of the Red Fort Metro station. The blast, which occurred around 6.52 pm, claimed at least eight lives and left 24 people injured. Several nearby vehicles caught fire due to the impact of the explosion. Officials have identified the vehicle involved as a Hyundai i20. Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the site and later met the injured in the hospital, assuring that top agencies are investigating the incident with full intensity.

As the news spread, reactions from the entertainment fraternity and public figures began pouring in. Celebs like Thalapathy Vijay, Sidharth Malhotra, Sonu Sood, Raveena Tandon and others expressed shock over the tragic loss of lives and offered prayers for the injured, sending strength to the families affected by the blast.

The makers of Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, GlobeTrotter, have surely upped the ante ahead of the grand unveil on November 15. They have sprung a surprise by silently dropping the song, ‘Sanchari’ from the GlobeTrotter on Monday evening. Crooned by Shruti Haasan and Keeravaani, the song gives a glimpse of the kind of musical narrative that is to unfold on the silver screens.

Shruti Haasan’s liver performance

In an attempt to further up the excitement and keep the buzz rolling about GlobeTrotter, Shruti Haasan is all geared to perform live at the grand unveiling on November 15. This is perhaps for the first time that an actress is performing live at a filmy do. Shruti being a versatile and multi-faceted artiste, already enthralled the fans with her song. And the makers wanted her to perform live to greater engagement levels. Her experience, talent and ability to bring the floor down makes her a natural choice for the event. On the other hand, Shruti too is excited to perform live in front of some of the world’s renowned personalities in arts and entertainment.

Rajamouli’s surprise moves

“The Sanchari instantly resonated with fans. Rajamouli wanted the audiences to get a sneak peek of the film’s narrative and what they can expect from the event. The musical soundscape is a classic description of that,” informs a source. While the buzz for the event is slowly building up, Rajamouli is surprising fans with interesting yet unexpected moves. According to reports, the GlobeTrotter team will unveil Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s character poster from the film next. Her role is speculated to have shades of grey apart from intense action sequences. Meanwhile, after the makers dropped ‘Sanchari’ song, fans started the guessing game predicting that ‘Sanchari’ could also be the film’s title.

Legendary actor Dharmendra was hospitalised on after complaints of breathlessness. Now multiple reports also state that his health is critical. It has reportedly urged doctors to place him on ventilation in the ICU. His health is being observed closely.

Following this, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and many other stars have visited the actor at the hospital. His family, including Hema Malini, Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol were also seen entering the hospital premises. While the family has shared about his recovering health time and again, certain media reports suggest that the Sholay actor has already passed away. Now, daughter Esha Deol and wife Hema Malini have come to clarify the rumours and strongly react to the false narratives.

“The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable & recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for papa’s speedy recovery,” wrote Esha. Hema shared, “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.”

Reports have been doing rounds on social media but the family has strong urged Dharmendra’s fans to stick to the latest updates by them.

Interestingly, the veteran actor is also gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie Ikkis. It is directed by Sriram Raghavan. The movie also stars Agastya Nanda. It will be his first theatrical release. Agastya made his acting debut with the OTT release The Archies in 2023. Dharmendra was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya with Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. In 2023, he was seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. There were also reports of the makers planning to work on the Shabana Azmi-Dharmendra love story from the movie, but nothing concrete has been shared. Alongside Dharmendra, the 2023 film starred Ranveer Singh, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Alia Bhatt, Tota Roy Choudhury and Churni Ganguly in leading roles.
