Trinamool MP Kalyan Banerjee has reportedly lost Rs 56 lakh from a dormant bank account linked to his past tenure as an MLA. Fraudsters allegedly used his photo and mobile number to siphon funds from the account, which had been inactive for years. The bank authorities themselves alerted the MP and filed a cybercrime complaint.

The court found that the complainant in the case had contradicted her own earlier statements and denied having lodged the FIR on which the case was based.

Rajnath Singh reiterated that while India currently sources some engines and components from abroad, the long-term goal is complete indigenisation
