The body of a six-month-old baby is expected to be exhumed today in Tamil Nadu’s Krishnagiri district for a fresh post-mortem, after the child’s father alleged that the infant may not have died of natural causes, but could have been killed.

A 22-year-old Indian MBBS student, Ajit Chaudhary, missing for 19 days from Russia’s Bashkir State Medical University, was found dead in a dam near the campus. His body was identified by fellow students, ending a desperate search that began after his clothes were found on a swollen riverbank. The family had sold land to fund his education.
