ISRO successfully launched CMS-03, its heaviest communication satellite, using the LVM3-M5 rocket from Sriharikota. The mission marked the fifth operational flight for the LVM3 vehicle, placing the 4410-kg satellite into a Geo-synchronous Transfer Orbit. This multi-band satellite will provide crucial communication services over oceanic regions and the Indian landmass for both civil and strategic purposes.

The lights went off twice at the end point of the roadshow before PM Modi’s arrival.

The J&K tourism department said the project is estimated to cost Rs 100-120 crore and the work shall be completed within the shortest possible time of 18 months.
