A senior IPS officer, Ropar Range DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar, has been arrested by the CBI. He was apprehended at his Mohali office on bribery charges. An iron merchant had complained of a Rs 8 lakh demand to settle a case. The CBI also seized significant cash, jewellery, luxury watches, and property documents during searches.

A 13-year-old boy, Murshid, was tragically killed after being allegedly run over twice by a Mahindra Thar in Vasant Kunj, Delhi. Eyewitnesses reported the SUV driver hit the boy on his bicycle and then reversed over him before fleeing the scene. The victim’s family, living in a jhuggi, mourns his loss and seeks justice.
