Punjabi Singer-Actor Rajvir Jawanda Passes Away 11 Days After Bike Crash

Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda,35, succumbed to injuries sustained in a road accident in Himachal Pradesh after a 11-day struggle. On September 27, an accident took place in the Baddi area of Solan district while he was on his way to Shimla, reportedly due to a loss of control of his motorcycle. He was immediately transferred to Fortis Hospital in Mohali, where he received life support under the care of the hospital’s critical care and neurosciences teams.

Rajvir had sustained serious injuries on the head and spine and was receiving ventilator support. Last Sunday, Punjab’s Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited the hospital to check on his condition, and many Punjabi artistes also offered their prayers and support.

Deeply saddened to hear about the untimely demise of renowned Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda.

He had met with a tragic road accident recently in the Baddi area of Himachal Pradesh and had been under treatment at Fortis Hospital for the past several days.

Hailing from Pona village in Jagraon, Ludhiana, Rajvir Jawanda was a well-known Punjabi singer, known for popular songs like Tu Dis Penda, Khush Reha Kar, Sardari, Surname, Afreen, Landlord, Down to Earth, and Kangani. He also graced the screen in Punjabi films, including Subedar Joginder Singh (2018), Jind Jaan (2019), and Mindo Taseeldarni (2019).

The Education Minister of Punjab, Harjot Singh Bains, expressed his sorrow upon learning of the passing of Rajvir Jawanda. He wrote on X, “Deeply saddened to hear about the untimely demise of renowned Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda. He had met with a tragic road accident recently in the Baddi area of Himachal Pradesh and had been under treatment at Fortis Hospital for the past several days. May Waheguru grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength to his family and admirers to bear this irreparable loss. Rajvir Jawanda’s songs and his melodious voice will forever live in our hearts.”
