A 45-year-old man was allegedly shot dead by a youth in an apparent act of revenge for his father’s murder 14 years ago in Manglora village in Uttar Pradesh, police said on Sunday.

Fourteen people have died in West Bengal’s Darjeeling after heavy rain triggered landslides and cut off road connectivity on key routes. Officials have said the calamity has cut off connectivity to the Himalayan state of Sikkim.
