According to latest reports out on multiple news portals, Vijay and Rashmika’s engagement ceremony took place at the former’s residence in Film Nagar Hyderabad on Friday. The ritual was an intimate affair with only close members from both the families in attendance. While these reports are doing the rounds, neither Vijay nor Rashmika have made an official announcement about their engagement. This is still a certified rumour from the grist of the industry gossip.

A couple of days ago, Rashmika Mandanna shared on Instagram that she feels especially grateful for this year’s Dasara. And after her engagement reports started doing the rounds on Friday night, many commented that the actress was referring to engagement in her post. According to sources, Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s wedding is reportedly set to be held in February 2026. The couple, who have been in a relationship for over five years, have chosen to keep the big day under wraps. They didn’t want to announce their engagement due to privacy reasons.
On the occasion of Dasara festival, Rashmika shared pictures of herself in a saree on Instagram. And fans started to predict that the saree is her engagement outfit. Her photos quickly went viral further fuelling the reports of her rumoured relationship with Vijay. When they were seen together recently at the India Day Parade in New York in August, they dropped enough hints. But at the same time, they continued to maintain silence.
Vijay and Rashmika reportedly first met on the sets of Geetha Govindam, which was a blockbuster. They were later paired together again for the film Dear Comrade, and it was during the film’s making they got closer and fell in love.
Work wise, they are all set to team up third time for director Rahul Sankrityan’s action drama. Vijay is still searching for success while Rashmika is in her prime with multiple blockbusters.
