Eleven youths, including eight minors, drowned on Thursday evening when a tractor-trolley carrying Durga idol immersion devotees overturned in a pond in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh. The vehicle lost balance while reversing, despite a warning, leading to the tragic incident. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced Rs 4 lakh ex-gratia for each deceased family.
