Life in Kolkata remains out of gear even 24 hours after heavy overnight rain left the city waterlogged ahead of the Durga Puja extravaganza. At least 10 people have died in rain-related incidents, while the City of Joy braces for more showers.

Delhi Police have registered a case against Chinmayanad Saraswati, manager of a Vasant Kunj engineering institution, for allegedly molesting around 15 female students. The case was filed after victims provided statements at Vasant Kunj North Police Station. Saraswati, also known as Parthasarthi, is currently at large. Authorities impounded his luxury car, discovering it had a fake UN registration.
