Neeraj Ghaywan’s film Homebound has been chosen as India’s official entry to Oscars 2026. The movie will represent India in the Best International Feature category. It has been produced by Dharma Productions and features Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor. The movie was selected to be the official entry by a 12-member committee.

Bollywood celebrities have reacted to the news, sharing their enthusiasm about the movie and its step towards global hype. Reacting to it, producer Karan Johar said, “We are deeply honoured and humbled that HOMEBOUND has been selected as India’s official entry to the Academy Awards… Neeraj Ghaywan’s labour of love is sure to a find a home in a million hearts across the world.”
