Stargazers were in for a treat as they turned their gaze towards the Moon Sunday night to witness a rare ‘Blood Moon’ or the total lunar eclipse, the longest since 2022, visible acrossAsia and swathes of Europe and Africa.

Following Russia’s largest aerial assault on Ukraine, which resulted in casualties and significant damage in Kyiv, US President Donald Trump has affirmed his readiness to impose a second phase of sanctions on Russia. President Zelenskyy strongly condemned the attacks, labeling them a deliberate act of war. European leaders, including Macron and Starmer, have also voiced their condemnation of the strikes.

Amid ongoing efforts, the Taliban have expressed support for strengthened ties with India, suggesting high-level visits, including one from Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi. India is seeking a UNSC waiver for Muttaqi’s travel ban to facilitate the visit, which aims to explore cooperation and trade.
