Meta has appropriated the names and likenesses of celebrities including Taylor Swift, Scarlett Johansson, Anne Hathaway and Selena Gomez to create dozens of flirty social-media chatbots without their permission, Reuters has found.

A US federal appeals court has ruled that most tariffs imposed by President Trump under emergency powers were illegal, challenging the core of his trade policy. The court stated that the President exceeded his authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) as the law does not explicitly grant the power to impose tariffs.
