The father of an 8-year-old child killed in a Catholic school shooting in Minneapolis has spoken out in grief, calling the gunman a “coward”.

Praveen, a former software engineer turned panipuri seller in Bengaluru, has been arrested for allegedly driving his 27-year-old wife, Shilpa, to suicide. Shilpa’s mother accused Praveen and his mother of repeated dowry harassment, demanding additional money for his business even after an initial large sum was provided. The investigation is ongoing following Shilpa’s death at her home.

A clash erupted in Patna between Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress workers. This followed a protest by the BJP against alleged abuses directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his mother. The abuses reportedly occurred during a rally in Darbhanga. Video evidence circulated, sparking outrage and condemnation from various political figures. Nitish Kumar also criticized the incident.
