A recent International Labour Organization (ILO) report highlights a significant unemployment issue in India, particularly among the youth and educated demographic. The report revealed that the jobless rate for graduates stood at 29.1%, which is nearly nine times the 3.4% unemployment rate for individuals who are illiterate. Furthermore, young people possessing secondary or higher education faced an unemployment rate six times higher, at 18.4%.
