Dr AK Rairu Gopal, a highly respected and loved physician, died on Saturday in Kerala’s Kannur of age-related illnesses.

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Saturday criticised the misuse of judicial processes, emphasising that the Indian legal system has become overburdened by “frivolous” and “politically motivated cases, where “the process itself becomes the punishment.”

The Election Commission has issued a notice to RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav regarding discrepancies in his EPIC numbers. The ECI clarified that one of the EPIC numbers Yadav mentioned doesn’t officially exist, requesting further details for investigation. This action follows Yadav’s allegations of his name missing from the electoral rolls, which the ECI refuted, stating his name is indeed listed and accusing him of making false claims.
