Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu attended the Dalai Lama’s birthday celebrations in Dharamshala, following a dispute between China and India over his succession. China urged India to handle Tibet-related issues cautiously after Rijiju stated the Dalai Lama’s reincarnation should be his own decision. The MEA clarified India’s neutrality on the selection process, emphasizing religious freedom.
