Shahid Kapoor to lead Ashwatthama – The Saga Continues his first mythology-inspired film

Shahid Kapoor is about to foray into a whole new genre. The actor, who was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, will lead the mythological film Ashwatthama – The Saga Continues. This will mark his first outing as a mythology-inspired character.

At an event on Tuesday, Shahid Kapoor confirmed his next film Ashwatthama – The Saga Continues. Its plot delves into the Legend of The Immortal Warrior Ashwatthama from the Mahabharata.

The official description reads, “Set in the present era marked by rapid technological advancements and humanity’s remarkable capabilities, Ashwatthama confronts the challenges of modernity, facing off against formidable adversaries in a high-octane, action-packed narrative. As the mystery of a legendary figure thrust into the chaos of the present day unravels, the film explores the inner psyche of an immortal being, revealing how he perceives the world he has witnessed for thousands of years.” 

Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh, the film will be directed by Sachin B Ravi. Further details are awaited.
