Jaishankar met US Secretary of Defence and highlighted the strategic importance of India-US defence ties, describing them as “one of the most consequential pillars”.

In a joint statement, the foreign ministers strongly denounced the act of violence and called for those responsible to be brought to justice.

The foreign ministers of the countries also called on all the United Nations member states to cooperate in “bringing theperpetrators, organisers, and financiers of the reprehensible act to be brought to justice without any delay”.
